Andrew David Garland
Born in York in 1965 (a Freeman of the City), he was educated at Fulford Comprehensive School. After attending York Technical College he was apprenticed Garlandas a Grinder/Turner with Bootham Engineers and Continued his role until he moved to Elvington Floorcraft Ltd. in 1990.
He gained experience in the field of contract flooring and progressed to the role of Director in 1997. His varied knowledge of tyhe building industry should put him in good stead for his future role as Master in 2008.
His hobbies include golf, squash, walking, and he is a “Gooner” (keen supporter of Arsenal Football Club). He has been married to Karen for 20 years and they have two children, Joshua(17) and Rebekah(14).

Justine Hodgson.
Justine has been employed by Hogg the Builder for the past 9 years.
HodgsonCurrently she is Sales customer care manager responsible for sales coordination setting up and furnishing show-houses and after sales customer care.
She lives with her partner Craig and their three children in Riccall.
Justine was educated at Riccall CPS. Barlby High and Selby College where she obtained a BTEC Business qualification.
Her interest and knowledge of building developed from an early age through helping her Dad, Noel Shouksmith, with his projects. This involved everything from throwing bricks up onto scaffolds to creating interior design schemes.
It was inevitable therefore that she would eventually gravitate towards the construction industry.
She is a Director of Danes Mill Social Club, part of the Regen Community complex at Riccall.
Enjoys dancing, gardening, family holidays and pub quizzes in her spare time.

Steve Bielby
Steve originally trained as a Chartered Civil Engineer with British Rail. He had a knack of being in the wrong place at the right time and dealt with derailments, fires floods and a couple of buildings collapsing. These experiences were eveBielbyntually put to good use when Steve moved into health and safety, eventually becoming a Registered Safety Practitioner. In 1992 he started Bielby & Charles Associates specialising in construction safety. The business grew and diversified and now covers not just construction but manufacturing and service industries throughout the UK.

Steve is married to Olga, who is also a safety professional (and chartered Biologist) and a partner in the business. They have 2 sons Chris and Matthew. Steve has been a member of the Guild for 12 years and is also a Past President of The York Society Of Engineers and has served on the Yorkshire committee of the I.C.E.

Steve’s pastimes include archery (for which he has represented Yorkshire), fishing, genealogy, painting (badly) and medieval history
